Cultural Partnerships Manager
Terry is the Chair of The Foundation and Leader of the Council’s Labour Group and Warrington Borough Council. His drive and experience in economic, environmental and social regeneration assisted in the development of the stadium, and the establishment of The Foundation.
A very experienced businessman who has held a number of positions in industry including Chief Executive of a quoted public company. Currently a Director of Ensor Holdings PLC, he is also a passionate supporter of Warrington Wolves since childhood.
Pat worked at Warrington Collegiate for 29 years before retiring from her post as Assistant Principal in 2008. Following that Pat worked for 5 years as Community Learning Manager for the Warrington Borough Council., finally retiring at the end of 2013. She is now volunteers her time to be a Trustee for Warrington Disability Partnership as well as The Foundation.
Karen was formerly Director of Legal Services at a leading telecoms company where she was responsible for delivering legal, commercial and regulatory services.
Karen has over fourteen years of high level, hands-on legal, operational and industry expertise in both Corporate and Commercial matters.
Karen is a very Keen supporter of the Wolves and with a young family, which regularly take part in Foundation Activities.
Dr Dan Bunstone
Dan is the Chair of Warrington Clinical Commissioning Group and has been a practicing GP since 2008. He is a keen athlete who competes in various events including Olympic distance triathlons. Dan also works for the professional British Boxing Board of Control as a ringside doctor and undertakes annual medical exams for amateur and professional boxers. He has a keen interest in the positive health impacts of fitness and exercise.
Alan has extensive experience within education and is the former Headteacher of Great Sankey High School, having retired from this post in 2011. He is now the Chair of LiveWire Warrington, and is responsible for leading their Board of Trustees.
Peter Astley MBE
Peter is the Chief of Staff for the Police and Crime Comissioner in Cheshire. A former Local Authority representative who was responsible for public protection through local Trading Standards, along with environmental health and licensing services. He was awarded an MBE in 2011 for services to consumers in the North West.
Peter is regarded as a Senior public sector leader with a wealth of experience at managing high-performing regulatory functions.
He has is a specialist in developing, and delivering, IPC (Intellectual Property Crime) enforcement strategies for overseas governments, regulators and enforcement bodies, with a focus at an inland, market surveillance, level.
Peter also Captained Great Britain ARL to South Africa in 1995.
Stuart is a Audit and Accounts manager for UHY Hacker Young and specialises in advising clients on utilising cloud accounting software to optimise business processes through integration.
He has over ten years’ experience in the financial services industry and has experience managing a diverse portfolio of clients including Limited companies, charities, partnerships and sole traders.
Over the course of his career, Stuart has developed a specialist knowledge of Xero accountancy software. He has worked with over 300 clients to convert them to cloud accounting packages in order to increase collaboration and access to real-time information.
Away from the office, Stuart enjoys football, F1 and running, and regularly enters 10k and endurance events.
John Gartside OBE JP DL
John was formerly chair of Warrington NHS and has extensive senior management and leadership experience in a variety of public services. He has also been Leader of WBC overseeing the transition to a unitary authority,chair of 5 Boroughs Partnership and a Board member of the Big Lottery Fund and trustee of the national Spirit Trust 2012
( Olympic legacy organisation).
John is a magistrate appointed 1979 and Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire. Current posts include founder trustee of the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace and chair of Warrington Disability Partnership. He was granted the Freedom of Warrington in 2004.
We have a complimentary Young Trustee Board whose aim is to support our mission and give young people a voice. The Chair of the Young Trustees has a place on the main Board and reports back on recent or upcoming activities. In 2018 the Trustees plan to visit Kenya with the Memusi Foundation as part of a Peer Education Programme, taking rugby league and a little piece of Warrington to a third world country.
