The Foundation’s Total:Sport Project co-ordinates sporting activities for young people with additional needs and their friends in a fun, safe and inclusive environment.
Our project works with a number of agencies involved with children and young adults with additional needs, enabling us to identify gaps in provision and how best to provide the opportunity for them to take part in sport and physical activity.
The project also includes the ongoing delivery of PE sessions in Primary and Secondary Schools for those pupils who may have additional needs.
The Foundation continues to develop links with local Sports Clubs, encouraging them to be inclusive so that these young people have greater opportunities to access a mainstream Club. Such links are already in place with Lymm Rugby Club, Phoenix Boxing Club, Crosfields FC, Birchwood Tennis Club, Winwick FC, Walton Hall Golf Club and Gen Dai Martial Arts Club.
The Foundation now has a well-established and highly successful Disability Football Squad with the Club recently winning the FA Charter Standard Club of the Year Award. The PANDAs are currently playing regular fixtures in the Ability Counts League in Liverpool and Preston.
