There are a number of varied and exciting roles that are going to be made available as part of the Pass it Back project.  The types of roles that we are looking to fill are:

  • Welcoming and Way Finding Assistants
  • Archivist
  • Memory Recorder
  • Tour Guide
  • Social Media Journalist
  • Event Delivery Assistant
  • Videographer

To help deliver these roles you will need to have good communication skills; the ability to conduct yourself in a mature and responsible manner; be reliable and with good time management skills.  The ability to deal with potentially stressful situations, along with the ability to be flexible and adaptable to help meet the projects goals.  Finally, willing to work as an individual or in a team and ability to work well in groups (both internal and external to the project).

The selection procedure for volunteers will be a two stage process and you’ll be expected to come to the stadium for a couple of events/interviews during October and then attend training to help develop your skills.  Everyone will receive basic skills training during their year i.e. first aid, equality and diversity, health and safety etc with additional training being provided dependant on role(s) undertaken.

Regular reviews will take place to ensure volunteers are fully engaged in the programme.  It’s expected that some basic training must be completed prior to volunteers taking up their positions.
